Purpose and scope
Signal//Next exists to explore AI, data, and next‑generation operating models through practical discussion, shared experiments, and peer support.
By participating, you agree to follow these community guidelines in addition to the site’s Terms of Use and any applicable Acceptable Use Policy.
High‑signal contributions
Keep discussions focused on the topics this community is built around: AI, data, engineering, leadership, and building next‑generation organizations.
Strive to add signal over noise: share concrete examples, frameworks, questions, and resources rather than one‑word replies, generic praise, or link drops without context.
Respectful, professional conduct
Engage with ideas, not individuals; disagreement is welcome, personal attacks are not.
Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, bullying, threats, or any conduct that makes others feel unsafe is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal.
No spam, promotion, or solicitation
Do not post spam, mass promotional content, or repetitive self‑promotion (including links to your products, services, newsletters, or events) outside of clearly designated areas.
Cold pitching, unsolicited DMs for sales, recruiting, or lead generation is not allowed; if promotion is permitted, it must be transparent, relevant, and value‑adding to the discussion.
Quality, accuracy, and integrity
Label opinions, forecasts, and unverified claims as such, and avoid presenting speculation as fact.
When sharing data, research, or third‑party content, provide sources where possible and respect intellectual property by crediting original creators and not copy‑pasting paywalled or proprietary material.
Privacy and confidentiality
Do not share private or identifying information about yourself or others that is not meant for public disclosure, including contact details, internal company details, or confidential client data.
If you discuss real‑world work, sanitize examples to remove confidential information and follow any NDAs or employer policies that apply to you.
Prohibited content and activities
The following are not allowed anywhere in the community: hate speech; explicit sexual content; graphic violence; illegal activities; instructions for fraud, hacking, or other unlawful behavior; and content that could reasonably be considered harmful or dangerous.
Content that is off‑topic, misleading, or created primarily to provoke or troll others may be removed at the moderators’ discretion.
AI‑generated and automated content
AI‑assisted posts are welcome when they are edited, fact‑checked, and meaningfully contextualized by you; do not use automation to flood the community with low‑value or repetitive content.
Bots, scrapers, or automated accounts that interact with the community must have prior written approval and may be blocked or removed if they disrupt normal use.
Moderation and enforcement
Moderators may edit, move, or remove content, issue warnings, limit posting, or suspend/terminate accounts when guidelines are violated, with or without prior notice where necessary to protect the community.
Repeated or severe violations (for example, harassment, hate speech, or illegal activity) can result in immediate permanent suspension and reporting to relevant parties if required by law.
Reporting and escalation
If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, use the in‑platform reporting tools where available or contact the team using the listed support channel, including relevant links or screenshots.
Reports are reviewed as quickly as possible; actions taken may not always be visible, but they are guided by these guidelines and the goal of maintaining a safe, high‑signal environment.
Changes to these guidelines
These Community Guidelines may be updated periodically to reflect how Signal//Next evolves or to address new patterns of abuse, features, or legal requirements.
Your continued participation after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines, so review them from time to time for the latest version.
